Public Hospitals have become a death-trap- CK

National Democratic Congress Consultant Chishimba Kambwili has charged that the current state of hospitals in the country is a death trap for patients as there are no effective and efficient health services being provided.

Mr. Kambwili has expressed displeasure on how some hospitals and most health facilities in the country lack adequate medicines to give to the patients.

He has told journalist in Lusaka this is why most patients end up being given prescriptions a situation he described as unacceptable.

Mr. Kambwili who is also roan member of parliament, adds that the lack of staffing in health facilities as can be seen from the period patients spend on long queues waiting to attend to, is evidence enough.

He has since challenged government through the ministry of health to ensure that health services and provision is improved in 2019.
