Opposition Political Parties alliance raise over K 1M

More than One Million Kwacha has been raised by the alliance of Opposition Political Parties during a fundraising dinner dance held in Lusaka last week Friday.

Alliance Chairperson for Finance and Media sub-committees Sean Tembo says the citizens’ response to the fundraiser dinner dance by the ten political parties is a testimony of how happy the majority of Zambians are regarding the formation of an opposition political party alliance.

The Opposition Alliance plans to raise 100 Million Kwacha by the end of the first quarter 2019 money which it says will be used the Opposition Alliance mobilization activities ahead of the 2021 general elections.
Mr. Tembo has disclosed that following the support the Opposition Alliance received from the general public; it has even become more resolute that the marriage by the political parties which is aimed uniting for a common cause of delivering a better Zambia to Zambians has been made.

He adds that acts of intimidation or harassment by the ruling party’s leadership will not deter the opposition political parties to go to the 2021 elections as a formidable alliance.
