Support for Vulnerable Children and Active Leadership (SUVUCAL) Director Eugene Machona has noted the need for a mindset change among young people if they are to become successful entrepreneurs.
Mr. Machona has told Q news that it is for this reason that his organisation has embarked on a programme aimed at creating youths that are business minded and focus on creating employment for themselves and others
He adds that SUVUCAL wants to ensure that the dependence syndrome on government for white collar jobs among youths is completely gotten rid of.
Mr. Machona says as much as help can be offered to support a person, if the beneficiary’s mindset is not transformed the help given to them has no value.
Meanwhile the SUVUCAL director has disclosed that in 2019, his organisation is targeting to have representation and beneficiaries in all the provinces as a strategy to create a Zambia where people concentrate on self reliance than a public that relies on others.
