ZCCM-IH declares K81.4 million dividend to IDC

The ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) has declared a dividend valued at K81.4 million to the Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (IDC) which is a major shareholder.

Speaking when he presented the K81, 421, 546 cheque, ZCCM-IH Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Pius Kasolo said ZCCM-IH made a profit of nearly K720 million which he says is the highest for all the companies in the IDC Group.

Dr. Kasolo says this is the reason why the company has to pay a 35 percent dividend to IDC which owns about 60 percent of shares in ZCCM-IH.

He says the total dividend being declared to all the shareholders is K135 million of which IDC gets K81.4 million.

Dr. Kasolo says the company has been transformed as witnessed through its high dividend being declared to the corporation.

Speaking at the same event, IDC Chief Executive Officer, Mateyo Kaluba said it is pleasing that ZCCM-IH has led by example in declaring dividend as it is one of the biggest companies in the IDC portfolio.

Mr. Kaluba says President Edgar Lungu has also directed that all companies under IDC should register under the stock exchange and that ZCCM-IH has led by example by listing on the stock market.
