Party leader Daniel Shimunza says this can be evidenced by the high poverty levels both in the country’s urban and rural communities.
He laments that fiscal discipline is lacking in the way government is managing the economy through overspending, exacerbated by corruption.
Mr. Shimunza further states that the country has continued lacking political will to fight corruption in collusion, and inside trading in procurement.
He is of the view that austerity measures have come too late, adding that Zambians are now under the yoke of heavy taxes, which do not reflect their earning capacity.
He says this has created creates crimes, and other petty and Grand corruption vices for people to survive harsh conditions.
