PF is Zambians’ better devil – Ngoma

The absence of credible alternatives has been cited as one of the main reasons why the ruling PF has been winning elections despite of the challenges Zambia is going through.

Political scientist Alex Ngoma says a human being is rational and therefore will always calculate benefits of associating with a particular person or group of people.

Dr. Ngoma says this is why Zambians have found it easy to associate with the ruling PF.

He is of the view that Zambians seem to have considered the ruling party to be a better devil than any other new angel.

In an interview with QTV News by telephone Dr. Ngoma who is a University lecturer says this entails that there are no proper alternatives being offered by the opposition in Zambia.

And opposition Economic and Equity Party (EEP) president Chilufya Tayali has attributed the ruling PF’s ability to win elections to a weak opposition in Zambia.

Mr. Tayali says the weakness of the opposition is however not in itself but in the Zambian society.

He has told QTV News in a separate interview that Zambians seem to be desperate for survival which only the ruling PF has proved to have the capacity to provide.

Mr. Tayali states that he has also established that there is no political wind for change of government in Zambia.

He says Zambians seem not to be tired of the ruling PF.
