The Small Scale Farmers Development Agency (SAFADA) says the K5 upward adjustment in the government maize purchasing price is still a mockery.
SAFADA Executive Director Boyd Moobwe says small scale farmers find the adjustment to be a joke.
Mr. Moobwe says this is considering the cost of maize production in Zambia.
He notes that farmers are spending more in labor and on inputs.
Mr. Moobwe has told Q news that the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) should have increased its maize price to K90 per 50kg bag.
