Canisius Banda
Development activist, Canisius Banda has observed that Zambia is not so far off in attaining a democratic dispensation that is free of political violence.
Dr. Banda says all that Zambians need to do as they participate in politics is to always remember that they are one family regardless of political affiliation.
In an interview with QTV News, Dr. Banda who is also former UPND vice president for politics, states that this means that politics of retaliation should not be tolerated.
Dr. Banda says politicians inciting violence should be put away in jail.
He says such politicians do not mean well for the unity of the Zambian people as they are devoid of the required substance for leadership.
Dr. Banda states that politicians in a democratic Country compete with ideas and not through violence.
