PF-UPND pact should be treated with skepticism – Ng’oma

Political analyst Alex Ng’oma says the peace pact between the ruling Patriotic Front and the opposition UPND should be treated with skepticism.

ALEX NG'OMAThe two political parties last Friday made a joint declaration committing to end political violence during elections.

But Dr. Ng’oma has told Q-news that such meetings cannot be trusted as the two parties will most likely go back to their violent ways.

He says what the two parties should do is deal with violence internally by expelling supporters who engage in violent activities.

Dr Ng’oma states that inter-party meetings without taming violent cadres will not yield any positive results.
