Southern Province Police Commissioner, Bonny Kapeso has disclosed that over six thousand people applied to be recruited as Police Constables in the province.
Mr. Kapeso says the list of the shortlisted candidates for the province has since been compiled.
He has since advised all the candidates who applied to join the Zambia Police in Southern Province to check for their names in their respective districts starting tomorrow in a bid to cut on expenses.
Mr Kapeso says the list of names for shortlisted candidates has been sent to all districts except Siavonga and Chirundu which are under Lusaka division.
He has however, clarified that names of selected candidates from Siavonga and Chirundu districts have been included on the Southern Province list.
Mr. Kapeso has since advised the shortlisted candidates to report to Choma on 31st July, 2018 at Zambia National Service football grounds at 08:30hrs for physical fitness tests without fail.
