UPPZ leader saddened by loss of property in COMESA fire

United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia (UPPZ) president, Charles Chanda is saddened by the loss of goods and property in the fire that swept through COMESA market in Lusaka.

Mr. Chanda says he could not help it but shed tears looking at the effect of the inferno on the traders.

He has since called on the government to quickly come to the aid of the victims.

He says it’s not normal that the occurrence of fires has become a trend in the capital city.

Mr Chanda has since urged the Police to establish the cause of the fire.

Third Liberation Movement president Enock Tonga says government should compensate the traders who have lost their goods in the fire that gutted COMESA market to enable them get on their feet.
