Movement for National Transformation (MNT) has expressed shock that a named political party has declared a Panga for Panga in response to political violence.

MNT Leader Daniel Shimunza says violence cannot be solved by violence, but rather breeds the vice more.

The MNT leader tells QTV News that recent revelation of Leaders of other opposition political parties, advocating for a “deceptive self-defense” to violence policy, has left his party wondering.

Mr. Shimunza says violence is a leadership weakness, in backward, uncivilized politics, that lack vision, ideological positions, tolerance, but promotes division, undue rivalry, and dictatorial tendencies.

Mr. Shimunza states that if the United Party for National Development (UPND) can learn from late South African President Nelson Mandela, who did not tolerate vindictiveness, and revenge to the wrongs of the Apartheid regime, that was far worse than what is in Zambia, it would show mature leadership that so far lacks therein, unfortunately.

He therefore suggests that tolerating violence, in their Self- defense doctrine, would make them to be worse off under their rule, than it is now.

Mr. Shimunza says recent insults on those eyeing for the higher offices of power, in their camp makes for sad reading indeed.

He states that Zambia needs transformative leadership, at all levels.
