Chilanga PF Campaign Team pledges peaceful campaigns

Campaign Manager for Patriotic Front (PF) Chilanga Council Chairperson Candidate Annie Brown, Japhen Mwakalombe has echoed President Edgar Lungu’s call for violent free bye-elections on 26th July, 2018.

Speaking during the PF Interactive Forum in Lusaka, Mr. Mwakalombe says President Lungu has advised all those taking part in campaigns to conduct their activities devoid of political violence.

Mr. Mwakalombe, who is also Copperbelt Province Minister, says the party is President Lungu is on record having said he wants the people of Zambia make decisions on their own without any form of intimidation or violence.

He says the party has refused to engage in any form of violence.

And Ms Brown says the first thing she will do if elected is to ensure she legalizes some of the settlements in Chilanga saying some people are leaving like squatters.

Meanwhile PF Media Director Sunday Chanda castigated the UPND leadership for perpetuating political violence in the name of self defense.

Mr. Chanda says it is unfortunate that the party has opted to use innocent citizens to drive their agenda of using political violence to intimidate their opponents.
