An unidentified woman believed to be aged between 20 and 30 has been burnt beyond recognition in Lusaka’s Kanyama area.
Police Spokesperson, Esther Katongo says police in Kanyama this morning received a report that there was a burnt body of an unidentified woman discovered by members of the public.
Ms Katongo says the body was burnt using tyres in a bush along Seventy Road after Chisomo Hospital along Mumbwa road.
She says police officers rushed to the scene and found the body burnt beyond recognition.
Ms Katongo says the body has since been picked and taken to Chunga Cemetery for postmortem and burial while investigations have been instituted in the matter.
Meanwhile, a 28 year old security guard at Zambia-Zaire shops identified as Binwell Kolala was found dead with legs and hands tied from behind.
Ms Katongo says the body was found with multiple injuries as an unknown instrument was used in the act.
She states that this occurred between 04th July, 2018 around 22.00 hours and 5th July, 2018 at 06:00 hours in Makeni Villa.
