Police in Siavonga pick up body of dead Truck Driver

Police in Siavonga District have picked a body of a 52-year old Truck Driver who was found dead in his truck with multiple injuries.

And Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama who has confirmed the development to QTV News via telephone has identified the victim as Tobias Sope a driver for Yalelo Fish Farm.

Mr. Kanyama says the body of the deceased is in Siavonga District Hospital awaiting postmortem.

Meanwhile, Police in the district have arrested an 87 year old man identified as Somili Lidwaniso of Matinangala village in Siavonga district for allegedly defiling a 9 year old girl of the same village under Chief Simamba’s area.

Mr. Kanyama has since commended the family of the girl for reporting the defilement case to the police saying this is the only sure way the nation can stop such cases.
