The Ministry of Home Affairs has advised members of the public that it is not receiving any application letters from prospective entrants into the Zambia Police Service.

Ministry of Home Affairs Public Relations Officer Nephas Chifuta says as stipulated in the advertisement, the recruitment exercise is being undertaken by the Zambia Police Service and not the ministry.

Mr. Chifuta states that the Zambia police Service has also decentralized to the Provincial level to ensure that it draws its officers from parts of the country.

He says all application letters should, therefore, be directed to the Provincial Commissioner of Police.

He adds that the role of the Ministry in the recruitment process is to ensure that the Zambia Police Service conduct a fair and transparent recruitment exercise based on purely merit.
