The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) wants President Lungu to prevail over the Police so that they ensure peace before, during and after July 26th by- elections.

YALI president Andrew Nthewewe says his organization holds the position that any form of violence that will be left unaddressed in the Country should be blamed on President Lungu.

Mr. Nthewewe has told Q News that this is because the President as commander of all armed forces will have failed to be tough on the Police.

He says it is therefore important that President Lungu uses his powers to direct that the Police sternly deal with whoever perpetrates violence during the election period.

Mr. Nthewewe says this is regardless of which political party the perpetrator belongs to.
