The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) says it is ready to welcome another operator in the Country’s civil aviation sector.

CAA Director General Gabriel Lesa says the Country currently has only two local operators but that there is room for more.

Mr. Lesa says the CAA has already capacitated its work force to regulate extra airliners wanting to operate in local routes.

In an interview with QTV News Mr. Lesa says the Authority begun with lean staff but has been employing and training more pilots, engineers and air traffic controllers.

Mr. Lesa says this has been all in readiness to handle more volumes of air traffic.

He notes that the CAA is aware that as Zambia’s economy grows there is going to be growing demand of its services.
