Government has been called upon to immediately reverse the recruitment process of the Zambia National Service (ZNS) officers that was concluded a few days ago.

Opposition UPND Lusaka Province Youth Wing spokesperson Otis Bwalya says his party’s youth wing wants the recruitment to be reversed because it was allegedly highly tribal.

Mr. Bwalya has told QTV News that his party is dismayed that the process was not well conducted looking at how some names of particular tribes came out so dominant.

He states that the Country cannot have a scenario where about 90 percent of the selected candidates come from only Northern and Eastern regions.

Mr. Bwalya has wondered why other citizens from other parts of the Country can be allegedly discriminated on account of their tribe.

He states that the ZNS recruitment process has demonstrated a kind of hatred his party has never seen in the history of Zambia.

Mr. Bwalya says his party’s youth wing suspects that this year’s ZNS recruitment process was characterized by a lot of corruption.

He says the warning to the PF government is that it immediately stops this scheme of tribal cleansing or the maligning of citizens on the basis of tribe.
