Evans Ngoma
The NGO promoting the proliferation of Zambian products, BuyZed says the current movement of goods and services within Zambia is a sign of positive economic growth.
Founder Evans Ngoma says his organization has observed that lately Zambia has seen massive importation of various capital equipment.
Mr. Ngoma states that what his organization does not however know is Zambia’s balance of payment to see how well the Country’s trade with the outside world is doing.
In an interview with QTV News Mr. Ngoma says without such information anyone can conclude that there is a trade deficit as Zambia seem to be importing more than it is exporting.
Mr. Ngoma says BuyZed has in fact also observed that Zambia is experiencing too much borrowing.
He states that his organization holds the position that the Country needs to manage its finite resources very well especially on the copperbelt.
Mr. Ngoma says this in order that Zambia gets full benefits of its God given resources by exploring all the available mineral resources and putting value to them.
He notes that all sectors of the Zambian economy which include Tourism, Manufacturing, Service Industry and Agriculture need support.
