The Southern African Center for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) has called on the government to review all pieces of legislation that are a source of political conflict in the country.

SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Cheembe tells QTV News that these pieces of legislation include the colonial Public Order Act that has brought about antagonism amongst political players in the country.

He says the government is well aware of the laws that are a source of political differences in the country, thus the need to ensure that they are revisited in order to promote inter party democracy in the country.

Mr Cheembe says it is important that the government shows political will in tabling the revision of the Public Order Act as parliament resumes sitting so that all political players feel free to mingle with the people.

The SACCORD Executive Director says his organization is therefore pleased with the announcement by the Justice Minister that this particular legislation will be table before parliament in the coming sitting, urging government to walk the talk on this matter.
