The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has counseled politicians against going with party cadres when they are summoned to appear before the courts of law or police.

YALI President Andrew Nthewewe says there is no reason for political leaders to go with a multitude of people at the police station or court saying this is a recipe of political violence.

Mr. Nthewewe says for as long as this trend continues, it will be too difficult to end political violence in the country.

He condemns the crash between the PF and NDC cadres at Lusaka Central Police on Wednesday saying this could have been avoided if Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili had not gone there with his supporters.

Mr. Nthewewe is advising politicians to only go with their lawyers when they are summoned by police or when they are appearing before any court of law.

And the YALI President says he has observed that the language that Mr. Kambwili has been using it is not a language that should be used by a person who calls himself honorable.
