The Zambia Union of Financial Institutions and Allied Workers (ZUFIAW) has welcomed the ban on the use of unregistered vehicles on the roads by the Police.
Union General Secretary Chingati Msiska has since appealed to all well meaning Zambians to support the move by the police.
Mr Msiska says it is difficult to identify an unregistered vehicle in the event of an accident.
He states that the ban of unregistered motor vehicles from the roads is therefore meant to address such a situation, hence the need for people to support the move by the Police.
The Zambia Police this Month banned the use of unregistered motor vehicles countrywide with only those in transit with accompanied relevant documents being allowed to be driven on Zambian roads.
