Party for National Unity Leader, Highvie Hamududu says the ministry of national planning should be made to superintend other ministries if government is to achieve the vision 2030.

Mr. Hamududu, has told QTV news that while he appreciates the 7th national development planning which was launched yesterday by President Edgar Lungu, it will be difficult to achieve the goals enshrined in the framework if the ministry of national planning is overshadowed by the other ministries.

He says that as it stands, all the ministries have different agendas, some of which may conflict with the achievement of the goals in the Vision 2030.

Mr. Hamududu however, states that his party is still assessing the plan, and will come up with recommendations once it has concluded its assessment.

He adds that the plan contains some lapses, but echoed his advice on enhanced financing of the ministry of national planning as it is a major driving force in national planning.

Mr Hamududu has since emphasized the need for the ministry to become a feeder of all other ministries, noting that if accorded the importance it deserves, it will push government towards one goal, which is achieving the vision 2030.
