Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama
A 51 year old Siavonga man was last night shot dead by unknown people in full view of his family.
And Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has confirmed the development to QFM News via telephone that the body of deceased has since been deposited to Siavonga district hospital mortuary.
Mr. Kanyama has identified the deceased as Michael Hachizonyo of Syamwiinga area of Siavonga district of Southern Province.
He says the incident happened around 19:30hrs.
He says the district has continued recording such incidents in which certain individuals are hired to get rid of individuals suspected to be wizards.
Mr. Kanyama says he is worried that if this practice is not stopped or those behind not caged, elderly people mostly those with grey hair will be eliminated in the district.
