Lungu receives more support

The ruling Patriotic Front on the Copperbelt Province and Central Province are pleased that the party Secretary General Davies Mwila has emphasized that the ruling party has a presidential candidate for 2021 polls.

PF Copperbelt Province Chairperson Stephen Kainga reiterates PF Secretary General Davies Mwila and National Secretary Hon Stephen Kampyongo’s statements that his President Edgar Lungu is the Party’s candidate for 2021.

Mr. Kainga says as provincial leadership, they wish to school Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili that it is the decision of the party structures to choose a candidate of their choice in this case President Lungu and they are no short cuts being taken.

Mr. Kainga says even as the party goes for a convention in 2020, it will not be for individual members to decide but the various party structures across the country.

He says it is unfortunate that Mr. Kambwili despite being a senior member of the party has continued to issue statements undermining the party as quoted in some sections of the media.

And in another statement, Central Province PF Youth Chairman Moses Chilando says between now and 2020, the party will focus on taking development to the people of Zambia and that is what they want the President to focus on.

Mr. Chilando says under President Lungu, PF has continued to show to Zambians that its vision, captured in the 2016-2021 manifesto, is not based on empty promises like free education for 15 million people.

He notes that under President Lungu, PF is demonstrating that its vision is based on taking tough but inevitable decisions, informed by courage and an understanding of what a future Zambia must look like.
