3 UPND members die after falling off moving vehicle

Three UPND members have died on the spot while 18 others have sustained serious injuries after falling off a moving Mitsubishi canter registration number ALZ 7103 which was ferrying them to a rally.

Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Esther Katongo has told QFM that the accident happened this morning around 10hrs on the bottom toad in Munyumbwe of Gwembe district.

Ms Katongo says the driver of the canter who fled the scene of accident failed to negotiate a curve due to excessive speed and in the process; passengers fell off the moving vehicle.

Ms. Katongo says the injured victims were rushed to Munyumbwe and Gwembe Health centers.
