Zambia Under-23 coach Fighton Simukonda has no problems working with Chipolopolo boss George Lwandamina at the 2015 Caf under-23 Cup in Senegal.

Lwandamina has been added to Zambia’s technical staff for the Dakar tournament that will run from November 28 to December 12.

The duo already work together with the senior team where Simukonda is Lwandamina’s deputy.

“He is my boss and in football we need to help one another,” Simukonda said.

“It is an advantage to the team.”

Faz spokesperson Nkweto Tembwe said Lwandamina’s role will be strictly advisory.

“The national team coach will travel with the under-23s and besides most of the players with the under-23 are also in the 2016 Caf African Nations Championship team and so are the two coaches,” Tembwe said.

Zambia will play their opening Group A match on November 28 against Tunisia.

South Africa and hosts Senegal are the other teams in Group A at the eight-team tournament where Africa’s three representatives at the Rio 2016 Olympic games will be decided.

Zambia will be making their Caf under-23 Cup debut and will be aiming to qualify for the Olympic Games Football Tournament for the first time since 1988 when they reached the quarterfinals in Seoul, South Korea.
