Gov commits to eradicating cattle diseases

Government has reaffirmed its commitment to effectively dealing with recurring disease in the livestock industry of the Country.

Livestock and Fisheries Deputy Minister, Lawrence Evans says government wants to drastically improve the livestock industry through interventions such as intensified vaccination exercises.

He says government is thus working at improving infrastructure and providing logistics to veterinary assistant to help farmers with livestock such as Cattle look after their animals well.

Mr. Evans says the eradication of cattle diseases is now a priority to the government.

He notes that his Ministry is to this effect working tirelessly to ensure that it fight livestock diseases as it plans to increase the cattle population and supply in the region.
