Political Activist Dante Saunders has condemned Vice President Inonge Wina’s recent statement in Parliament pertaining to the holding of opposition rallies on the Copperbelt.

Last week Vice-President Wina told Parliament that the government would not allow the opposition to take advantage of the economic situation on the Copperbelt and start campaigning.

But Mr. Saunders says the economic challenges the country is facing are due to the inabilities of the Patriotic Front Government.

He says what the vice president should not forget is that her party was once in opposition and they used to hold political meetings when MMD was in government.

Mr. Saunders says if the former ruling party was mean, the PF would not be in power.

He states that preventing the opposition Leaders from holding rallies will not work because Zambians are aware of the failures of the ruling party.
