The opposition Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) has called on Zambians to save the country’s economy from collapsing by voting the PF out of office.

And the opposition political party says Zambians have leant lessons the hardest way by entrusting the PF with power.

Speaking when she met FDD members in Chingola, FDD President Edith Nawakwi says one of the reasons the country is going through the current economic situation is due to voters especially from the Copperbelt who voted for people without scrutinizing their capacity to govern the country.

The FDD Leader says the country is in the current mess because the people of Zambia voted for the PF believing that they can transform their lives but that they have lamentably failed to address the social and economic challenges facing the nation.

Ms Nawakwi has observed that most voters in the Province especially youths made it difficult for other political parties to campaign as they made the province an almost no go area for the other parties.

She says there is need for the people on the Copperbelt to get the nation out of the current mess just like the way they put the nation in it when they voted for the PF.

And Ms Nawakwi says PF has no capacity to develop the country because of their inability to think beyond their stomachs.

Ms Nawakwi has observed that since the PF got into Government the only projects they have concentrated on are those in which they can get a cut on as opposed to investing in needy areas such as the improvement of the Agriculture sector.

Ms. Nawakwi was in the Copperbelt Province to meet members and tour party empowerment projects. The party has empowered 5 women groups in Kitwe whom they have provided with 2500 chicks and feed.
