President Lungu is on track – Mulusa

State House says it still believes and trusts that President Edgar Lungu has not drifted away from the vision that late President Michael Sata left for the ruling PF to develop Zambia.

The President’s Special Assistant for Project Monitoring and Implementation Lucky Mulusa says contrary to critics that are arguing otherwise President Lungu’s way of governance is in fact an improvement on late President Sata’s governance.

Mr. Mulusa notes that what President Lungu has been doing is to strategically sequence the infrastructure development projects that were rolled out under late President Sata.

He has told Qfm News that this is with the view of ensuring that the projects create reproductive capacities in the economy and ensure that the projects cross subsidies each other.

Mr. Mulusa notes that this is besides ensuring that these projects begin to fund other projects.

He has referred to the introduction of road toll gates as one of the strategies President Lungu is using to ensuring that infrastructure development projects earn the country revenue.

Mr. Mulusa states that this kind of governance therefore boils down to President Lungu’s January 20th presidential election campaign unifying theme of continuity with change.

He says President Lungu has continued with the projects initiated by his predecessor but at the same time refined them in a way that those that are to earn Zambia immediate revenue are undertaken first.
