Life is now unmanageable under PF – Masheke

Former Prime Minister under the UNIP government Malimba Masheke has charged that life under the PF government has now reached the extent of being unmanageable.

General Masheke has observed that currently it does not matter whether one is a small scale businessman or a farmer life in Zambia has simply become unmanageable.

In an interview with Qfm News by telephone General Masheke who is also retired Zambia Army commander has suggested that it is therefore up to the people of Zambia themselves to rescue themselves.

General Masheke is of the view that people should do so by finding alternatives.

He states that people should make up their minds to see whether they can succeed with the on going programme under the PF government or whether they need a new programme.

Asked whether he agrees with the suggestion that the current government considers stepping down in view of the challenges that the country is going through, the retired General has responded by saying it is obvious that the PF government cannot go beyond 2016.

General Masheke says this is given the fact that the country’s constitution provides that there will be general elections in 2016.
