Govt urged to guard the coming 500, 000 jobs against nepotism

Government has been called upon to ensure that the over 500, 000 jobs opportunities it intends to create by the end of 2016 are guarded from nepotism.

The government is being urged to ensure that tribe and political affiliation does not play a role on which youths get to access these jobs opportunities.

Aspiring Munali Member of Parliament Patrick Mungo is appealing to government not to allow the alleged selective awarding of loans that has been reported at the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) repeat itself with respect the 500, 000 jobs opportunities it intends to create.

Mr. Mungo who has welcomed the launch of the revised National Youth Policy under which the 500, 000 jobs will be created wants government to put in place restrictive measures that will make certain that the targeted youths benefit.

He spoke in a walk-in interview with Qfm News.
