Chisanga defends LAZ

The Law Association of Zamia (LAZ) has dismissed assertions that it is not forthcoming when needed to providing guidance on national issues of constitutional nature.

LAZ President George Chisanga says the association has been the noisiest on matters that require its voice.

He says the association understands that it has the responsibility to give guidance to the nation on important national matters relating to the republican constitution and has been doing so when need arises.

Mr. Chisanga notes that people should understand that even when it is the associations’ duty to give guidance to the nation on important national matters, the association cannot speak anyhow, but needs to understand the matter so that it gives clear guidance.

He adds that the association takes its time to provide guidance on complicated issues; hence people should not take it that it is not performing its duty when it delays to give guidance.

Mr. Chisanga further states that LAZ will continue to effectively give guidance on important matters so as to contribute to a better Zambia.
