Politics of bickering, only good for donor funded parties – ZDDM

The opposition Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) has observed that politics of bickering are only good for donor funded political parties.

ZDDM president Edwin Sakala says the effect of such kind of politics is however that it is the ordinary Zambian who is suffering and dying as if the country is at war.

And Mr. Sakala thinks that in a civilized and jealous free society or country where people appreciate the contributions made by others, his party could have been respected for the key role God has been using it in shaping Zambia’s political future since the late 80s.

Mr. Sakala has told Qfm News in a statement that in spite of the usual media blackout, the ZDDM has set its silent machinery into action as it was in the late 80s when we started the Change campaign from Chifubu in Ndola on the Copperbelt Province

He has recalled in 1995 his party launched the KK comeback campaign while in 1996 it approached the Vatican to release Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo to come and stand as its candidate in the 1996 general election when first republican president Kenneth Kaunda let it down.

Mr. Sakala states that this is in addition to its support for late President Michael Sata in 2006 and its launch of the RB campaign in 2013.

He notes that in all these crusade ZDDM has never received any coverage from the media.

The ZDDM leaders has disclosed that this time around his party is not looking for any political giant to help it save Zambia from the current path he says is of self destruction.

He says his party is doing it on its own in spite of its humble standing in the country.
