Belemu concerned DMMU has left out Choma

Mbabala Member of Parliament Ephraim Belemu is concerned that the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) has left out Choma district on the districts to receive relief food.

Mr. Belemu says Choma district is not only confined to Choma town but has outlying areas wondering why the district has been left out when certain areas are in need of relief food.

Mr. Belemu has appealed the DMMU to review their assessment of the district, stating that their assessment is not tallying with what is happening on the ground.

He says failure by the DMMU to review their assessment on which areas need relief food, the people in the affected areas of the district will starve.

Mr. Belemu says it will be unfair for certain areas in the country to receive support in form of relief food while others are left out.

He states that he is hopeful that the DMMU will do the right thing by responding to all areas in need of relief food and save the people from starvation.
