The United Party for National Development (UPND) has accused government of conducting secret job recruitments in certain ministries.

UPND National Youth Chairperson Likando Mufalali says this is happening is a failure to adhere to tenets of transparency.

Mr. Mufalali says it is only fair for government to accept the advice of all relevant stakeholders with regards the smooth running of all government ministries in a transparent manner.

He says the UPND has information of all the maneuvers being made by the Patriotic Front to ensure only that their party cadres are given jobs where there are vacancies in government department.

Mr. Mufalali stresses that it is unfortunate and painful to see how thousands of Zambian youths are being denied employment despite having good qualifications and skills.

But when contacted for a comment on the matter, Labour and Social Security Minister Fackson Shamenda dismissed the allegations as false.

Mr. Shamenda says government has not made any secret recruitments and will publish job adverts when need arises.
