Green Party President Peter Sinkamba says the recent riot in Livingston triggered by the increase in fuel and road tax is only but a tip of the iceberg.

Mr. Sinkamba has charged that the incident is typically a narrative of a chaotic, dysfunctional government system.

Mr. Sinkamba says while common people are feeling the pain of the high cost of living; it is unfair for ministers to drive vehicles with free fuel; use free phones with limitless airtime; receive free electricity; pay no road tax.

He notes that the tax system under PF Government is inconsistent, unfair, and lacks transparency and has only created disorder and confusion in the economic sectors.

Mr. Sinkamba adds that the tax system has also brought about distortions in the budgeting system and unprecedented hardships in the lives of the common man.

Mr. Sinkamba says the PF should be aware that come 2016, they will have to pay for what they are doing to the people of Zambia.

He has since advised the government to change the way they are doing things and deliver as expected of them.
