Government is pleased with the ongoing distribution of farming inputs for 2015/2016 farming season saying the target will be met.

Agriculture and Deputy Minister Greyford Monde has told QFM News that as at last week over 50 percent of top dressing fertilizer was already in the districts waiting to be distributed to farmers.

Mr. Monde states that as for Compound D fertilizer, over 40 percent were already in districts assuring that before September the exercise would have been completed.

Mr. Monde says government is overwhelmed with the results of the farming inputs distribution exercise.

He has encouraged farmers throughout the country to prepare resources for their contribution to Farmers Input Support Programme as cooperatives so that when the government blows the whistle they must be able to pick their inputs right on time.

Mr. Monde maintains that all the inputs will be made available to the farmers right on time so that the farmers can plan effectively for the coming farming season.
