ZCID guides politicians on violence

The Zambia Center for Inter Party Dialogue (ZCID) is pleased with President Lungu’s stance on violence but has encouraged him to go beyond condemnation and start taking action against perpetrators.

ZCID Executive Director Horrance Chilando has told QFM News via telephone that the President should be commended for always condemning violence but that he should be seen to take action against perpetrators of the vice.

Mr. Chilando says political leaders must be seen taking the full responsibility of violence and not just end at condemning it.

He says people want to see action been taken against perpetrators of violence and act as deterrent to would be offenders.

Mr. Chilando says Zambians are not pleased with continued cases of violence and that politicians should be seen in the forefront to fight the scourge.
