Piyo questions people sitting on CDC in Matero

Kapwepwe Ward 25 PF Councillor Maurice Piyo has questioned the authenticity of some PF members to sit on the Constituency Development Committee (CDC) in Matero Constituency.

Mr. Piyo has however asked Matero PF Member of Parliament Mile Sampa to clarify this matter where some PF members are sitting on the CDC saying it is against the CDF guideline.

In responding to a letter that sought to bring together the Ward political leadership and the CDF bodies to determine projects for funding in the 2016 CDF funding cycle authored by the newly appointed Matero CDF Committee Vice Chairman who is also PF Matero Constituency Youth and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Piyo has reminded the leadership on the need to adhere to set guidelines and avoid politicization of CDF projects.

Mr. Piyo says he will oppose the required full council resolution to ratify the Matero CDF Committee which has been appointed to attract political patronage by the appointing authority.

He has since urged the Matero lawmaker to emulate the PF top leadership that insist on sticking to set guidelines in developmental matters and avoid constituting CDF Committee whose membership will purely include political cadres.

According to the list availed to QFM, the Matero lawmaker has allegedly constituted a CDF Committee which only includes leaders from the party leadership to the exclusion of others.

Some of the persons sitting the Matero CDF include Patrick Mwamba Salubusa who is PF Matero Constituency Youth Information and Publicity Secretary and Godfredah Mulenga currently serving as PF Matero Constituency, Women’s League Chairlady.

Others are Morgan Ng’ona who is PF Matero Constituency Immediate Past Chairperson and Alice Muchosa, the immediate Past PF Women’s League Secretary at the Constituency level.
