Assegai Foundation for Civil Advocacy Executive Director Senzo Mkwananzi says it is total folly for PF to think they can silence truth by intimidating journalists in the country.
Mr. Mkwananzi says there is a raging war between private media houses and the Government in Zambia due to corrupt practices that are being exposed by independent media houses.
Mr. Mkwananzi states that State-run media houses are nothing to rely on because they act as Public Relations agencies of the Government if not adverts centers for the people in power and not news agencies.
He says the sole sources of true news are independent media houses but ever since PF took over the reigns of power the country has seen unprecedented levels of intimidation and threats thrust on private journalists who expose corrupt practices.
He says this is so unfortunate and his organization condemns such things.
He adds that the people in power should be reminded that they can never suppress truth saying one day, justice will catch up with them.
