Police in Lusaka arrested Post Newspapers Editor-in-Chief Fred M’membe and Reporter Mukosha Funga and charged them with the offence of publishing classified information under the State Security Act.

This is in relation to an article published in the Post on 17th April 2015 in which it was reported that Anti Corruption Commission Director General Rosewin Wandi had written to President Edgar Lungu informing him that the ACC was investigating his special assistant for political affairs Kaizer Zulu for allegedly soliciting US$1million from a Chinese contractor to fix an appointment for him with the President.

Police Spokesperson Charity Munganga Chanda has confirmed the arrest of the duo after being questioned at Woodlands Police Station this morning.

They have since been remanded in custody pending ruling on a bail application after appearing before a Lusaka Magistrate court were they denied the charge.
