Seek KK’s wisdom to unite Zambians, Lungu advised

Republican President Edgar Lungu has been advised to seek the wisdom of first republican President Kenneth Kaunda on how to unite the people of Zambia beyond tribal lines.

The Southern African Center for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) believes Dr. Kaunda who managed to unite the nation’s 73 tribes provides a good example from whom President Lungu and other politicians can draw lessons.

SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Cheembe says his organization is certain that seeking Dr. Kaunda’s wise counsel can help political leaders in the country to address grievances of a tribal nature in the shortest possible time.

Mr. Cheembe has told Qfm News by telephone that it is high time Zambians started nurturing and guarding jealously the peace the country has enjoyed since independence.

The SACCORD Executive Director is also calling upon the republican President to take a bold step and ensure the root cause of tribal grievances is addressed.

Mr Chembe has further encouraged the Head of State to continue giving an audience to Tonga traditional leaders with the view of evading a possible enmity between their subjects and the PF government.
