Secretary to the Cabinet Rowland Msiska says there is need to help and support Zambian researchers for them to produce robust research, quality analysis and sound evaluation.
Speaking during the official opening of the seminar on Evidence Based Policy making in Lusaka today, Dr. Msiska says Zambia has a lot of developmental challenges that needs to be addressed through research.
Dr. Msiska has also emphasized the importance of evidence based policy making for the country to continue recording growth.
He stresses that evidence based policy making necessitates evaluation and analysis and has since urged Zambian researchers to produce quality analysis and sound evaluation to assist in building effective policies.
The Secretary to the Cabinet notes that the seminar will contribute towards building a critical component necessary for evidence based policy making.
