George Lwandamina has warned his Zesco United players not get to comfortable with the five-point lead they enjoy at the half-way point of the 2015 Faz Super League season.

Zesco beat third placed Zanaco 1-0 away on Sunday at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka to send a strong message that they are not giving away the title that easily.

The win came just three days after they toppled Power Dynamos from first position subsequently relegating the latter to the number two spot.

“The league race is still on we cannot celebrate now because we still have 15 games to go,” Lwandamina said.

“We will plan for the second round and make sure that we sustain our performance.” At the mid-way point, Zesco have 35 points, five ahead of Power and a further six in front of Zanaco.

“There will be pressure I am sure but that is what we have to plan for so that we are not complacent,” Lwandamina said.

“We have to work extra hard because every team that is on top finds a lot challenges from teams below team. They will all want to beat the team that is on top.”

A fourth minute goal from striker Jackson Mwanza handed Zesco their fifth successive league win in which they have scored ten and conceded one goal.
