Shikabeta praises President Lungu’s tireless work

Chieftainess Shikabeta of the Soli speaking people of Rufunsa District in Lusaka Province has praised President Edgar Lungu for working tireless in a bid to better the lives of ordinary Zambians.

And Lusaka Province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta has reassured Zambians of government’s continued implementation of its pro-poor policies as outlined in the Revised Sixth National Development Plan (R-SNDP) and the Patriotic Front (PF) party manifesto.

Meanwhile, Rufunsa District Commissioner Paul Kasongo has implored parents and guardians in the district to advantage of government’s upgrading of Mpanshya and Chinyunyu Primary Schools into full-fledged secondary schools by sending their children to school.

ZANIS reports that Chieftainess Shikabeta said President Lungu has been working tirelessly since assuming office following the death of President Michael Sata.

The traditional leader said this through a representative Agness Kalonga-Shikabeta when Lusaka Province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta who was accompanied by Rufunsa District Commissioner Paul Kasongo and other senior government officials called on her at her palace in Rufunsa District yesterday.

Chieftainess Shikabeta has implored President Lungu to remain steadfast and ignore detractors who are bent on frustrating his efforts of equitably developing the whole country.

And in response, Lusaka Province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta said the government is in a hurry to develop all parts of the country as outlined in its Patriotic Front (PF) party manifesto.

Mr. Mwaliteta who is also Patriotic Front (PF) Kafue Member of Parliament has pointed out that the district will continue receiving its full share of national cake.

He explains that government considers traditional leaders as key partners in national development hence its decision to create the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs to look into their plight.
