Libongani urged to ensure professionalism in her command

Inspector General of Police Stella Libongani has been called upon to ensure that police officers conduct themselves in a professional manner ahead of Bangweulu parliamentary by-election.

United Party for National Development (UPND) Deputy Spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo has told QFM News that the party is not happy about how the cases of violence in Mulobezi were handled by the police.

Mr. Lifwekelo says it is for this reason that the party expects to see professionalism coming from the police ahead of the Bangweulu polls.

He says the party has leant lessons in Mulobezi and will try by all means to ensure that all their members are protected from any form of violence perpetrated by the PF.

And Mr. Lifwekelo is confident that Bulako Muma will win the seat saying the party has been accepted in all parts of the country.

He says the PF uses money to buy votes and that the people’s eyes are wide open now and that any such schemes will not work for them in any way.

Mr. Lifwekelo has since called on political players to conduct themselves in a peaceful and mature manner during and after campaigns.
