The Islamic Supreme Council of Zambia has advised government to sensitize people in simple language on load shedding and the issues surrounding it.
Supreme Council President Suzyo Zimba says much as the problem that has resulted in massive load shedding is genuine, the people of Zambia do not understand what load shedding is and the cause and hence the criticisms from some sections of society.
Mr. Zimba notes that government should be aware that its enemies are on their work trying to give wrong information to the people on the causes of the massive load shedding that the country is experiencing and thus the need for government to sensitize the people and give them the correct information.
He adds that failure by the government to come up with programs to help them reach out to people and make people understand may result in people losing trust in the government due to the wrong information that they are being given by those against the government.
Mr. Zimba has further urged the people of Zambia to keep praying so that next rain season the country should have enough rainfall and the situation should normalize.
